NOLA RESISTANCE
NRQ, a new jazz band made up of a quintet of veterans who are deeply knowledgeable about the city's musical history, will be performing 2 shows at Snug Harbor on Thursday, July 6th. According to their producers Brian D’Arcy & Matt Dillon, this crew combines "an ear to the past with eyes to the future."
New Orleans, of course, is world-famous for its jazz. Whether you're strolling through the streets or hanging out at a nightclub, you'll be hearing artists who long ago absorbed the work of such giants as Louis Armstrong, Jelly Roll Morton, and Sydney Bechet. NRQ is devoted to reinventing and reimagining those pioneers.
